Is it allowed? My project will be text heavy, and no one in my team have eloquency in speaking English (we can, but trust me, you don't want to hear it)...

Can we use AI for voice dubbing?

Really no AI should be used, I have asked before that people not use it. Unfortunately not everyone will listen to that rule though.

Why is this rule added? Sounds counterintuitive

HostSubmitted(+1)

How is it counter intuitive to not allow AI?

Why restrict a person from using tools available to make the game they wish to make. If you're not good with voice acting, using AI to do it makes sense.

HostSubmitted(+2)

Because using AI isn't exactly fair on the people who have created visual and auditory elements themselves.  They can generate something in moments that could take someone ages by hand. If someone doesn't feel adequate in a certain area then there is a lot of people in this community who are offering to help, for example in this jam there was a voice actor with some professional credit to their name.

I agree that AI isn't fair to people who make visuals and auditory elements and I see that for the jam, the restriction is makes sense. I'd still say restricting tech is counterintuitive from the POV of making a video game.

I can see those downvotes, if people don't agree with the rule banning AI then there are countless other jams that allow it. Just like there are countless jams that do not allow it. There has been a few games in this jam that I have noticed to have used it, so it shows people don't properly acknowledge things.   I have stated my reasons why I don't find it fair to allow the use of AI, I will stick to these reasons.
