From what i can gather (since dev refuses to post details outside of discord) is that he pulled it from steam in order to release full game because there were hoops he didn't want to jump through for steam release.
I've since learned it was that steam couldn't be convinced the AI art roommate was over 18. Dev even changed the roommate's TTS voice actor to be deeper and more masculine (massive turnoff ngl) and it wasn't enough so he pulled it from steam.
