That happened to me a few game but I didn't play all way through and if found out it wasn't free I would have wait to get the money and buy it. 

And how do you think it became freely available on the web? 😏

It is not a "pirated stolen" version, it is a willingly shared version from some patrons who paid for it then shared it freely, this is how every Patreon game gets freely available because they are freely shared by the patrons who paid for it. 😉
