I cannot for the LIFE of me figure out the tug of war. I put every bug I can on one chest and still don't get it, then I lose all the others. What even is the goal?

EDIT: okay I think the victory condition is to have more ropes where you have more bugs than your opponent by the end

The tutorial teaches you the ropes (pun!) but you just want to have more bugs than your opponent to win a rope, and more total gems than your opponent to win the match

The game shows you the number of bugs you have versus your opponent, and you have the same number! If you really put every bug you can on a chest, you cannot lose that chest. But... you might not win the round!

So it does count the total amount of won gems and not the tents? I see.

Still stink at it for some reason.

it is hard! some characters are better at it than others... maybe you've had bad luck with your opponents! Smeargle seems really good

I was playing Grovyle, I think? The one we start out with.

I know Rhydon absolutely demolishes at the weights game, to the point he solves it father than I can move my cursor.

yeah rhydon's surprisingly good at the games, he is also very clever at the stair climbing game!

I'd probably have been better at the stairs if I could keep track of whose bug's about to move, for some reason it felt like he got like six extra turns
