Oxyy!!! Thank you so much for this, I always so look forward to hearing your thoughts. You totally hit the nail on the head with what I was going for with the MC. I really like the idea of MCs you can kind of project yourself onto. Or if not yourself, any person wonderful imagination will fill whatever sketch I put in front of you almost automatically. Like, I like the idea of describing a small moment based on the feelings and emotions without bogging it down with too many physical details.

I totally agree with you about it dragging a little near the middle end. I really went back and forth on it and it's really ultimately a failure on my part to do the dreaded "kill your darlings" thing haha. I story boarded early so I could have a script ready for Hawk and give him time and this ended up with a long list of levels I suddenly felt too attached to. REALLY good thoughts about the flower withering / the MC degrading along the way. I think that would add a lot for sure.

The rose thing is so funny. I'm so chaotic about how I write and develop things. So many things just happen last minute or happen on a whim. I just drew a pic I liked for an art challenge and THEN from that decided to make roses THE motif of the game hahaha. Before then I knew something had to fly off but I couldn't decide what and there was 0 rose imagery at that time. And even then it was pretty far into the game where I was like "wait. Why are they even doing these challenges? What actually motivates them to leave the lift?" and then realized something had to either fly off or be taken by something. I wanted different things to happen to the rose but alas. The reality of a game jam lol. And SERIOUSLY duct tape would solve like 90% of the games plot points. frfr -the real life lesson here is always carry some kind of adhesive.

SO GLAD the voice acting worked and ppl are liking it T_T it was so scary and such a big leap haha. I'm glad I did it. And I'm glad I roped Hawk into it. Idk if I'd have the courage to have it just be me haha. Thank you so much again Oxy for all your kind words and time! I always love getting to hear your thoughts about stories.
