I really liked how we play, your pixel art is truly, truly beautiful. The fact that the souls get sad with our presence was a great touch to bring the game to life, along with the way they turn white as we get closer. I assume that’s meant to evoke fear, right?
Your escape mechanic is also quite interesting, I believe that because there aren’t many elements, the collision issues between objects were significantly reduced. Did you create it so the soul moves in the opposite direction of the player? It was my first time trying that in my game too, and I’d love to hear how other developers think about it.
