Thanks again for the detailed review :)

The door on the second floor can be opened if you solve the riddle. There is a note with a hint on the first floor.

The notes can be read in the inventory. The madness scale can be reduced in the closet or with the help of sedatives.

The level is passable, the door under the stairs leads to the next level (there is a temporary ending of the demo version).

The demo version also has several secret rooms. You can get into them by solving riddles.

I deliberately do not give detailed instructions in the game so that the player can explore the world of the game himself. I do not lead him by the hand like in modern games. The riddles may not be very obvious like in old adventures.

Perfect - I'm all for the challenge, I just didn't want to waste my time trying to solve puzzles if they weren't implemented yet.  This is great!  I'll share it around to a few retro communities I'm in - I think there's a few people cooler than me who would enjoy it.

Thanks :)

Got the end!  That was sneaky haha.  I still need to figure out how to open the other box (aside from brute forcing it LOL).  The safe was easy to figure out.

You can also try to find secret rooms, there is a new shotgun there.

And how difficult was it to fight the enemies? Not too easy and not too difficult?

It was a bit tricky, but totally manageable with some strategizing.  I love and hate that it takes 3 shots to kill most of them, but your gun can only hold 2 bullets at a time haha.

Sounds like I still have some secret rooms to find, too!
