Sorry about that! I'm working on getting direct downloads enabled on itch, although the itch staff has been very difficult to reach.If people have any recommendations for other download hosts, I can consider switching from Mega to one of them.
To be fair, most of my games are on Steam which, I'm happy to say, now includes this one!
some other games that have offsite downloads use google drive. it seems to work just fine, and is less confusing to use than mega, especially on mobile
