Out of curiosity, since it was a vote, what were the other options for the last name? Or was it more of a free for all where people suggested names and the Navigator tier patrons liked Kelly the most?
All of them were references to the memoirs that are being used as resources, so it was James Dana (Two years before the mast, by Richard Henry Dana), and James Spavens (Memoirs of a Seafaring life, by William Spavens) alongside the Kelly one.
