Usually you just have to redo the process you did to install the game, and when you return to the game already updated, your saved data is there, just make sure to save the game before updating.
Im not sure if its an android but if it is, you don't really have to uninstall the old version, just install the latest update and it will automatically replace old app and transfer the previous saves to the latest version.
