Source?

The point is, no matter what version the game is, sending it out for free is illegal. Like I've said before, V0.1 cost $10. V0.7 costs $10.

Archiving old versions of games is legal, but sending it out for free without express permission from the owner is still illegal.

Still, it's legal like it would literally be useful if someone missed 0.1, Can bro even understand?

Guess what? Simply use the Steam Console and the "download_depot" command. There's a way to download old versions of paid games LEGALLY that you PAID FOR. And downloading it without having paid for the original game is still illegal.

So yes, I understand.

Bro, most people don't even have a steam account.

Plus, it's not illegal. Grow up already.

Then why not upload V0.6? That MUST be legal, as it's an older version that only contains like 95% of the content of the current version.

It's piracy. It's illegal. It doesn't matter if it's old.

You are still lying since outdated versions are legal to archive, also quit spamming that crap.

Ok, let's both calm down here and have a mature conversation.

There's a few things I'm genuinely curious about, and please respond in a polite manner.

1.) Is there a source that outdated versions are legal to archive specifically on a platform you can download them for free?

2.) I did a bit of research on copyright law, and while it's perfectly legal to archive the game, downloading an archived game without permission from the copyright holder is illegal. Is this true?

I'm perfectly fine if you don't want to continue this anymore, by the way.

check archive.org and search Baldi’s basics plus

That's a source for archives, sure, but can you provide a source for the legality of it?

Ok.
