Oh, that's very strange, because I've never heard of anything like that before. Are you playing with a mouse and keyboard?
Maybe the game can't create a save folder in the directory because it doesn't have permission, that's just my suspicion.
I got it eventually, plays differently from other games like this I've seen before.
