I apologize for the late response! Itch ate this comment up in the filter and I just approved it.
I personally do not have a Chromebook (yet). So, this is all guessing from my end (so be careful). That said, I found a tutorial that installs RPG Maker XP, through which you can use to play the game. If you open RPG Maker XP and start a new project, you can then close RPG Maker XP and go to your new project's folder. Take the file Game.rxproj in your project and copy-paste it into the Misty Orange game folder. Now, open Game.rxproj directly from the Misty Orange folder and this game should open up in RPG Maker XP. Then, just run Misty Orange from RPG Maker XP directly.
Here's the guy that has a tutorial on installing RPG Maker on a Chromebook.
Alternatively, that content creator also has guides for installing other Windows-based software on Chromebook (in his latest videos) that might also work for Misty Orange.
That all said, I'm not familiar with Chromebook, so I'd suggest being careful none-the-less because you don't want to brick anything over a game. But, that's my guess at least? I hope this helps!
