How did u do the bulry background, did u just blur it in some software or is it a effect in unity?
I first used Unity's post-processing system, but the problem was that it cannot be applied only to certain layer...
So I applied a blur filter on the original background sprites using Photoshop.
As good practice: post processing must be used only if you really need to change effects dynamically in your game, since it consumes machine resources on calculations. My 2 cents...
