We're really happy that you enjoyed the demo. You can look forward to a lot more of the beautiful artwork drawn by Lumiel in the full release! ^^
I'm not sure whether I can do anything about the controller, since we're already using a plugin to map some of the keys to the keyboard, which you cannot normally do in RPG Maker.
I'll try looking into it, but can't promise anything. Sorry! 
I hope it won't be too much of an inconvenience if it doesn't work.
