Question, are there any rules for skill checks in the game? I can't seem to find any in the book.
Hi! There are no skill checks in this game, just the Referee adjudication based on how you approach a challenge. The chapter on "Adjudicating Outcomes" has some guidelines on this topic.
Okay, one more thing, where do we pick the upper level spells from? I noticed the book only has level 1 spells available.
You can source them from any of the '80s and '90s rulesets, they are all broadly compatible.
