Hi TLiaD, thank you for the support and feedback

For transitioning of the brushes from the set, you can choose the 'forward' instead of 'static' in the dropdown so that it will automatically iterate to the set of brushes going forward. The static is for you to manually switch the brushes, you may also use a hotkey 'space + q' or 'space + w' for previous and next button.

Regarding the extension not appearing both in the menu, ill have to check on that why it wont appear. But for now, please make use of the hotkey(Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts) to open both.

Space + L for Live Brush

Ctrl + L for Live Draw

Please let me know if that helps.

Thanks for the cheat sheet! Everything is working perfect with the updated version too (1.4). (In case it helps to know, but none of the transitions were working for me in the last build (1.3), forward, backward, etc., it just stayed on the first brush unless I used the buttons with the static option. I didn't try the hotkeys however, so I'm not sure about that. )
-Would it be possible to add the option to weight brushes in transitions? Like random brush transitions could be set for two brushes to appear at a 2 to 1 ratio or 3 brushes that appear at a 10%/40%/50% ratio?
-Is there a way that this could work with the spray brush? I know that it's been tried but the only solution has been by using an auto clicker app and standard brush.
These extensions are awesome! You and devs like Carbs Code make Aseprite the GoaT that it is! Thanks!

Hey TLiad, thank you so much for your feedback and kind words—it means a lot! I'm glad that everything is working perfectly with version 1.4. 😊

Regarding version 1.3, I appreciate the heads-up about the transitions not working as expected. It's great to know that the static option worked, but I'll make a note to double-check those features in case they need further tweaking.

Now to your suggestions:

  1. Weighted Brushes for Transitions: This is an excellent idea! Adding weight ratios for brushes in random transitions sounds like a fantastic feature. I’ll start brainstorming how to integrate it and see if it can be implemented in a future update.
  2. Spray Brush Compatibility: Making the transitions work with the spray brush is a bit tricky due to how Aseprite handles it. This has been on my mind while working with live brush, at the moment the spray brush properties is not yet accessible. But I’ll revisit this to see if there’s a more elegant solution beyond auto-clickers. If it’s feasible, I’ll definitely aim to include it!

Thanks again for your thoughtful suggestions and support. It’s feedback like yours that keeps me motivated to improve these tools! And shoutout to Carbs Code for all their incredible contributions as well😊

Got into the same problem. And I figured out that restart Aseprite will fix it
