Hi, I'm a student, but I'm willing to try this Poetry Jam just for experience.

All I wanted to ask was:

  • Are mental issues (such as stockholm syndrome, depression or ADHD) too sensitive if I tried to make a chapbook out of it?
  • I know poetry could mean a different thing to some people, but would it be okay to add some interpretation to it (or should I leave it for other people to guess)?

Thanks for hosting this Poetry Jam, I'm getting excited for this.  <3

  • not at all, i feel like i clarified in the 'Guidelines' section that my only concern about content was bigotry - not concerns about intense personal experiences or struggles. discussing mental health is fine! if you still arent sure youre always welcome to tag it when you publish it so readers can decide for themself!
  • had a little difficulty parsing this question, but i think you mean "can i do a side by side - this is why i wrote this poem - this is what this means - this is what its about"? if so yes of course. there really are not that many rules beyond dont be a shitty person about what you can or cant do. there arent really any limitations here

hope that answered your questions! happy writing

- Vin

Alright, thanks for the quick reply (and the clear-up of all the worries I had at the moment)! :)
