Difficulty scaling is hard as a developer. The current difficulty is actually scaled back from the original from feedback - it was actually even harder than this before. You're part of a vocal comment minority that really wants that secret ending.

I did playtesting and had it playtested by Patrons too, and difficulty wasn't an issue. The game's not under development anymore, so I'll take this as good feedback to apply to future games to try to scale down the difficulty, but I have no plans to change this game unless Patrons ask. It's a free game.

I'm working on new things now - so I do hope you enjoyed what you have been able to get through!

I tried again and finally realized that there was text at the bottom of the screen showing which ingredient comes next. I thought it was only voice for the longest time. I was able to get through the minigames much easier after realizing that. I'm sorry I was pretty dumb in that regard, Ellie. I can't wait to see what amazing stories you make next.
