You have a pretty fun core game loop that works well, even if it doesn't seem very original or unique yet. I think that a thing you could do is to put a little more focus on both the dash (make it more powerful / longer and let it regenerate a little faster (maybe also with upgrades) and hunting the bugs (there could be different kinds of bugs in terms of behavior, they could matter more in terms of value, maybe they run away completely after some time, they could be faster etc.). This would make your game stand out more from other dungeon crawlers with a similar formula.

There were three more things that I think you could improve to make the base experience better.

1. Make it so that shooting enemies take a little bit of time after you enter the room before they start shooting you (right now this often feels unfair)

2. Make the bugs look more like something I want to pick up (make them golden / shiny, give them sparkling effects etc) because right now it took me a long time until I understood their significance. I thought they were additional enemies and that I'd lose health if I touched them - especially since they look similar to the other enemies.

3. The spell is an event that happens very often so the sound for it should be more subtle so it doesn't get on my nerves :D I think it's cute that it has that voice sound but I believe it would be better if that voice just had a random chance of say 15% to appear and if otherwise it would just play a more subtle generic sound effect.

Overall I see a lot of promise for this game which is why I wrote this long comment. Keep it up and I hope to see an even better future version! :)
