i looove your devlog so much. i really appreciate the discussion and thought you've put into "this monster is from a specific culture and may represent certain elements of colonialism--but is it for me to use as well?" i think these are good things to be thinking about in the creative process and sometimes are brushed away too quickly and without consulting the affected people.

i really dig too your breakdown of your game as parser style and some comparable projects out there--i actually didn't know too much about inform 7 so this was actually highly informative for me! i've never wanted so bad to try something after reading a devlog before haha. i'm really excited to see more of this, thank you for taking the time to document your process so thoroughly!!

I'm happy that my talking about Inform 7 is helpful. It's a very quirky engine, and the documentation is overwhelming at first, but it's proving to be very easy to learn by example, so I hope that's being passed forward!
