Ooooooh! I like the idea! (*___*)
What do you think about adding some subversion of expectations in our game, particularly in the character dynamics and plot twists? Instead of the usual tropes, we could create more complex and layered characters. (Note: I am a character and plot driven type of writer. So, I may lean into that focus a lot...please, please, stop me if I go too deep....pun not intended :P )
For example, imagine a meek, feminine husband who is actually an internationally renowned composer. His frequent absences from home aren't just because he's distant—he's deeply engaged in his work. When he comes back home, he discovers his wife’s infidelity and finds comfort with the man she cheated on him with. But here's the twist: despite his outwardly gentle demeanor, he's also been indulging in his own affairs while on tour, specifically with the men in his orchestra. This adds a layer of complexity to his character, showing that while he may seem submissive or "weak" on the surface, he's far from innocent in his own right.
To make things even more interesting, we could explore the idea that the husband and wife actually have an....(how to word?) unorthodox arrangement—one where cheating, drama, and infidelity are a kink they both enjoy. Perhaps the wife has a fetish for watching her husband with other men, and since he's gay and he married her as a way to "hide" his queerness from the public eye.
Of course, this is just an idea, and we don’t have to go down this route. But I’d love to explore something that shifts away from the typical yaoi conventions and brings a more unique, nuanced experience to the readers/players. It would definitely stand out from the usual yaoi games I’ve played so far! 😏
