The premise fits the 20 second nature of the game jam, and I like the set up in cutscene. Given the 15 second timer, the game timer pausing after each interaction is really helpful, as it gives the player some time to think on where to check next. If you wanted to make it more difficult, you could make it so that the timer does not pause after the interaction.
I enjoyed scavenging through shelves and cupboards to find the tools. Some slight randomization to the items' locations would add variety to the game, as well as a "skip intro" button would be helpful on repeat playthroughs.
