I wonder if I missed a rule or if I had a lot of luck when drawing tiles, but the game did not feel challenging at all?

Looks right! I've certainly played where I had to discard tiles, so maybe it was good luck or you are very good at grouping! I'd like to know how subsequent scores go for you. Thank you for playing!
You are drawing 7 tiles at a time, yes? You can try constricting it to 4 tiles at a time to see if that adds a challenge.
