Hey, just finished this! I love the core concept and how it feels to play when I really got in the groove of it!

I’m seeing this from Give & Get Feedback, so some feedback:

  • Some of the levels (especially the last one right before the credits) feel too wide open to really see where I was going, and not in a fun way. I felt like I was just kind of stumbling into the exit sometimes. Maybe pushing the elements closer or having some visual landmarks to show you what direction to head next could help?
  • I like that the game’s designed for being speedrun, but as someone who was just trying to beat every level, I think the roll function doesn’t really do much. It’s kind of annoying to remember another button, especially because I confused it a lot with the swap button and kept falling and dying accidentally. Maybe consider giving the roll another feature, like dodging bullets from enemy robots?
  • I think we should be able to see the bounce pads in the swap preview (by preview I mean being able to see where the blue blocks are in red world and vice versa).
  • Some of the simpler one block jumps and wall jumps are pretty clunky.
  • I was using keyboard controls and I think arrows + space + C + V is an awkward control scheme. What if it was WASD with W being jump, and Q and E being swap worlds and roll? Or maybe use the mouse (left click is roll, right click is swap worlds).
  • All the parts where you jump and swap and jump and swap are easily my favorite part, it feels so satisfying.

Overall, there’s a lot of promise here! Keep going with this if you want, I thought it was fun.

Thank you so much for playing and for this detailed feedback!

I’m really glad you enjoyed the core concept and the flow of the switch mechanics—it’s awesome to hear the jump-and-swap parts were your favorites!

Your points about the level design being too open, the roll mechanic feeling underused, and the control scheme being awkward are very helpful. I’ll definitely look into making the levels more guided with landmarks, experimenting with alternate keybindings.

Thanks again for the encouragement! I’ll keep working on this and pushing it forward.
