The game is interesting but needs a lot of work to be less tedious. Have run into quite a few quests that bug when trying to complete them, and unless you take down notes with each quest you get, you are likely to forget what you're doing as the quest log is vague and unhelpful. It also doesn't keep track of any of the bounties from the champion's guild. If possible, a map option in the main menu would be very helpful.
Lastly, is there a way to prevent "a certain character's" death, because it kind of came out of nowhere, and there was no way to tell if there was a mission you needed to complete to avoid that outcome?
Overall, it is a game that has promise, but after four years, it is still very unpolished. Hoping that it feels more user-friendly in future.

Hi there Khaylis,
We’re so glad you’re finding the game to be interesting!
If you have the specific names of any quests and the stages that were not functioning correctly, please let us know here or in our Discord and we’ll see if we can help and/or fix the bug.
Given the game’s roots in classic RPGs, some of the quest notes are intentionally left vague or non-direct as to encourage the player to explore and solve the quest from the given clues - however if there is any wording you found too confusing or too obtuse (and as such made it difficult to finish a quest) then please let us know so that we can tidy it up and make it more accessible.
As for your question regarding certain character events - every non-temporary character event that results in them being removed from the party or changed in some way is avoidable and can be prevented by the player assuming they have met all prerequisites.
Thanks so much for your feedback, and thank you for supporting us!
