Creepy game! Interesting stuff, but somehow Z-button attacking wasn't working for me.
Was it after or before you picked up the knife? Sometimes if you press Z before you pick it up, it disables the ability to attack and pick up the weapon.
I managed to pick up the knife, but no attacking after that. Hmm
There isn't an attack animation yet so that might be it. You should still be able to destroys enemies
