Loved everything about the mechanics, especially at the end where it kind of turns into a horror idler with the auto-attack and auto-move. 10/10 soundtrack, hit the nail on the head with the underground lab/alien kind of vibe. Truly a fun experience.

Thank you 😄

Very frustrating but unique gameplay. Can't wait for the story!

Cool art style and really nice sound design. Can't wait for more

There isn't an attack animation yet so that might be it. You should still be able to destroys enemies

Love the idea that a gun is only safe when it's completely empty, and when it's not literally anything could happen. And I never thought a gun safety game could be so much fun.

Also thank you for taking the time to play my game! I really appreciate it

Was it after or before you picked up the knife? Sometimes if you press Z before you pick it up, it disables the ability to attack and pick up the weapon.

Thanks! I'm not entirely sure of the story right now either, so I'm glad the creepiness came across well. That's really what I was focusing on. And there should have been one more scene after "it won't happen again." Was your character still visible where it ended?

I just replayed your game and I actually think it would be cool if the music you have already started devolving (i.e. getting more dissonant or moving down chromatically, while getting louder) as you're hit.  And then when you get as close to death as possible, do just one note. I'm not familiar with pico so I'm not sure what's possible but I hope you  can use this idea in some way.

Overall I think the mood and visuals are very cool. I wish the controls were a little more clear as well, however, and with headphones the soundtrack was very abrasive, even at half volume.

From one bored person to another, thank you for that experience. I can now look at boredom a little differently now

I like the idea a lot, I just wish you could shoot in all directions.

I think the changing environment is really clever, because as the stress of life comes down on you, you often forget or "lose sight" of what's around you, and you're left with only your problems. I feel like you could go with that idea even more and apply it to the sounds,  i.e. a track that gets more and more intense as you're hit. That way the player feels the stress you're trying to convey even more.

I totally agree. I just finished my submission for the FFS Jam and it was so helpful to have a Discord where people could collab and show off their work.

So here is where I'll post things you can do that will break the game. So if you want to avoid them, here's what I've found so far:

2/2/2020

  • Pressing Z BEFORE you pick up a weapon will disable your ability to pick up any weapon, with no way to fix it besides resetting
  • Pressing Enter AFTER the title screen (to try to interact with bubbles, which you cannot do) will result in a black screen and no way to fix it besides resetting

Just published the almost-final version of Part 1

I totally get that. Let me know if you need any tips

Love the music, and the creatures are absolutely terrifying

This is a fun little game. If you still need music I'd be more than happy to make something to loop in the background.
