Very cool concept, with tons of potential. Reminds me a bit of a streamlined Neo Scavenger. I wish it were a little less random/luck-based, though. Maybe there are ways to make each move more strategic? E.g. add a binoculars item that allows you to see items in adjacent tiles, or allow for some conversion between heat items and food items (but at a cost.)
But this is a terrific platform to build on, and I could see it becoming a really good game.
