You can disable the interruptions in advanced preferences!
We implemented the interruption effect because our design expected viewers to focus often on the line (hence why we've also added pauses to stimulate natural speech patterns).
My issue is the lack of the pause in some dialogs, not the other way around, I'm happy for the pauses as I like to read it out loud and create voices for each character, my issue is with some of them only being on screen for 1 maybe 2 seconds before they auto jump to the next. If you need examples I can replay the game and get you examples of what I mean.
