Very neat tech demo. Definitely nails the Sims 1 aesthetic. But yeah, I'd really like the ability to scale the UI - at least somewhat.

I don't know if it's not implemented yet, or it's bugged, or I did something wrong - but I couldn't get the 'hide walls' button to work - so I could see inside and at the floor without the front-most walls blocking my view.

Thank you for playing!

The UI scaling should work with your system scaling but it's currently bugged, sorry. The next time I submit to DD, the game will have a new UI.

The 'hide walls' button is indeed broken. It's a regression that I let fester since I'm soon to rework the wall system to add room cutaways.

Ah, I see. Yeah I've kinda been there. On the note of redoing the UI - do you plan on keeping it along the bottom or moving it? Personally, I'd consider moving it to the left side of the screen.

I have yet to make a sketch of the future UI. At first I was thinking of going the rollercoaster tycoon / transport tycoon route and have the buttons on the top have everything else in floating windows. But I don't like floating windows...

I like your suggestion on putting it on the left side. I can put what needs to be always shown like the camera controls, the time and money to be shown in a panel in the bottom left. The tools can be shown on the left side of the screen. And an event bar on bottom of the screen and which a bigger panel can pop from it to show stats and what not. Well I'm describing the Simcity 4 UI...
