I AM RATING THESE ALL THESE JAM SUBMISSIONS RELATIVE TO ONE ANOTHER. THERE ARE HIGH HIGHS AND LOW LOWS BUT PLEASE DON’T TAKE THIS TOO PERSONALLY, AFTERALL, WE ALL ONLY HAD A MONTH.

Implementation of Theme (5):

I’m usually not one for weight gaining stories but JJ is an exception for me. When the theme was generated, I knew that someone was going to use it for weight gaining but I didn’t expect to like it like this.

My only thing is that I messed up on the choices so much that I didn’t get understand it until the end. Which is mostly my fault but I think that one of the more heavier JJ sprites could have been used in the itch.io page screenshots.

Story (5):

I have a bit of thing for baking, as can be seen by my longest FVN stream ever—clocking in at 5.5 hours— for Bjaker’s Hearth & Home. I also really loved the movie Chef (2014) so the idea of a MY WOLF centered around a baking food truck encaptivated me. I’ve done a lot work in Hospitality but food trucks are always one of those thing that remain an enigma to me. How does the frier oil not get everywhere while driving?!?

The Cake Pop Bitch-Ass Lion Bitch getting what he deserves at the end was perfect. Even thought I still don’t understand how a cake pop can get stall that easily if it covered in candy and chocolate.

Having a wolf sit on the MC’s face for some good old donut hole eating anilingus was very hot and satisfying especially since I had unlocked my face-sitting kind a few weeks before the Jam at TFF 2024.

Presentation (5):

I’m usually not a fan of fully front facing sprites but this style makes it work so well. I think it’s that the characters aren’t fully symmetrical which if they were they would sort of have this uncanny feel to them.

The Chord Progressions cameo on the weasel’s clothing was a very cute nod along with having BowserPuma be there in my stream to see it for the first time live.

Kind of wish that the MC had a side sprite since I had no idea what their species was until the MY WOLF sat on his face.

Creativity (4):

Having the theme tied to choices was an excellent decision that I wonder how many players weren’t able to experience due to their poor choice making. I may have given this Criteria a 4 but I’m very surprised that it only got 15’th place out of all of the entries.

I wish I wasn’t so silly that it took me two playthroughs to understand that the donuts from the title screen are the correct answers for the choices.

Total (19):

The one VN that I awarded a near perfect score to. From a somewhat big team that came from having no VN Development Experience whatsoever, this was a grand slam from CuriousCritters. I need to play your NovemBEAR Submission before the Kitten’s Book Club Meeting on 1/18/2025.

It was also very adorable reading all of your names because of the whole Noun+Animal motif y’all coincidently have.

Let’s see what happens!
