Currently the only way is a well timed dodge (SHIFT on keyboard by default and Right Shoulder on controller). In the future I'd like to add being able to block H attacks as an upgrade for Onyx

Good to know. One idea is that the unit can only special attack you if they are within striking distance.

Please disregard my previous comment I made when I first started playing. I’ve since learned that you can dodge or even stay out of reach of the enemy unit to avoid getting caught. One new comment I have though is in the dessert/wasteland level, the Lovesense devices just start going crazy right when the level starts, before any troops are even encountered. Is this by design?

Hey! Nope, that's likely a bug due to the background scene later in the stage with the FemCops. Thanks for the heads up! It has to be fixed on the Red-Light test stage too
