We will be looking into this bug where your position isn't matching the visuals! The door guy is supposed to ask for 10k gold so the text probably bugged out so we will take a look into that! and yes if you die after leaving your sword in the stone it comes back to your inventory but bugs out so you won't see it unless you pull it out again.
