This is a prime example of how sound design can make or break a game. The audio mixing is all over the place, with the explosions being quite the grating volume. There are also no sound effects for thrusting, and there are no fades for the music. The thrusting animation also cuts off rather strangely and the starfield became glitched after I continued for some reason.

I echo that there's a good idea here, however. The arrow is functional, the enemy AI serves its purpose well, the hitboxes are solid, the scrolling looks fine, and the sprite work isn't bad. I hope you can find time to polish the game further.
