Really cool game. The loop is pretty decent, more when we are talking about 48 hours game jam. Well implementation of the theme. Good menu integrated in the game.
I highly recommend always to include more impact in the hits. For example, you can add a move back a little when an enemy is hitted. Also, please consider to buy A* for pathfinding, colud help you to avoid enemies stuck behind a column or a wall.
Specifics:
- taking away the teleport was quite shocking.
- Normally, when you have a skill tree it's recommened either to let the player choose (let's say between 2 skills, one more offensive and the other defensive).
- The pace of the waves it's a little bit slow, maybe reduce the size of the map. Or instead of going to the start point with the key, you can present the next skill when the last enemy of the wave is dead.
+ Nice adding the arrow to help with navigation to find the last enemies or the chest.
Bugs:
- in the first wave, there is a chest identically to the one in the beggining, in the top right and I tried to interact with it. If in the first few seconds you teach the player to interact with chest, don't include chest which are not interactable.
