Go into Options, and check Show Hopper Controls. Then, use the dot that appears to rotate it and dump your coins. You can then rotate it back to start collecting again.
In the top right, you have a cog wheel for options. You can enable Hopper Control, and use that to tip out content of the hopper, which allows you to restart your progress.
