I did wrestle with matching this to the theme; the vision was there were going to be other intruders who visited, rodents, cats, and burglars — at which point the theme would be better realized.

You're right, it's not — but I took an unconventional approach where instead of firing projectiles, or finding equipment, the Roomba uses it's own tools and feature-set to be itself a weapon.

I completely agree — I think maybe maybe a lock on system, or similar, would have been helpful.
