Your idea for HRIV is great too! If I find a way to make it work in a interesting way, I should consider doing like you said :D
I pretty much just said what I saw another game do but HRIV character just wouldn't make any sense with the way you were going to go.
I had more ideas about your roadmap but I didn't want to give you a college thesis lol so I just focused on the important parts.
