Once I got the hang of it, it became quite enjoyable.
The camera swap after dying or succeeding the first trial feels somewhat awkward, but the wider angle/view is better after that first trial.
Ended up dying after trial 3 once my rockets got to average 124 mph as checkpoints were positioned a bit too close for that speed (like turning around felt impossible).
Nice presentation, plus I also love that some effort went into a quirky main menu .
