I was able to run the game at what I assume is the intended speed! The art style and the music is really cool! I feel like the hit box on some of the objects you collide with are a little big and sometimes things appear at the top and bottom at the same time and there's nothing you can do about it. Sometimes I lose in one hit, sometimes it's three.
I watched you talk about this game on a stream though and I think you did achieve having a simple game, with a little more polish it could be pretty cool! :O
