I love the systems at play here. After I figured out the basic controls, without even looking at any external sources, I was able to figure out how the game played pretty well. Even without a tutorial, the flavor text for each card gave me a good enough idea of what to expect, and the behavior of each card per turn was consistent and made sense.
I ran into some kind of bug at some point where I wanted to make a Boil House (?) but it built an academy instead, though it's not like that made much of a difference in the long term. It took a few rounds to figure out how to optimize discarding, but everything flowed so smoothly that experimentation felt welcome with each battle.
This game felt complete, though it also felt like it was leaving the door open for something much deeper, longer, and complex. Fantastic work!
