I'm having the same issue, and I'm on a Galaxy S23 Ultra, only I only see the X-Ray for a few seconds, then it flies off to the top-left corner and never comes back.
did you switch from portrait to landscape after the game has already started?
The game would START in landscape as soon as I pressed the button to play the game.
