It needs too be connected too their api/LLM for the ai replies to work(think of LLM as the AI's brain/what takes the prompts and info of what the character it is set as and uses those and other text and responds) and the ai software on the in game pc is only doable in the jan also in the jan thing it said you can set your own local LLM up but not in the December one. I feel it would of been smart too release the best form of the demo for when the Kickstarter happened, even though I backed it, isnt really that playable with the December build.

I have a local LLM working fine but no idea about the voice.

How did you make it work? It's looks like there an internal bug, what version of oobooga did you use? I can't actually even get an simple request to a custom Http server
