Hey there!

Just played your game! Here's my feedback!

1. Titles - I only noticed the top level titles after a while. I think they could be bigger - as they hint at what could be happening soon, which creates a lot more anticipation and excitement. Right now it's more of guessing and failing a few times, which isn't the most fun or engaging as it's just waiting for mistakes to happen and then correcting them!

2. Physics - The character physics on level 6 seem a bit wonky - when I land on the platform, the friction seems to be different, affecting my speed. Moreover, when the player lands on the upper platform, they are stuck in the 'jump animation' frame rather than the 'grounded' animation frame. This was the most noticeable on level 10 and I had to stop here because I couldn't quite get my character to jump properly while on the squares.

The game thinks I'm not grounded when I'm on the edge of the square and won't allow me to jump. Normally when a character is still standing at the edge, it should still be "grounded", as it is typical in a platformer for a player to want to stand at the edge to prepare for a jump, as it gives the player the ability to cross the maximum distance. Seems like your ground check is at the center and not accounting for this scenario, or not properly calculated. Just my guess but I could be wrong though.

3. Skip level option - I almost quit at level 6 because I couldn't figure out until I saw the little box at the start! But for other players who may be less patient, I wonder if a skip option could be useful if you failed a few times. This would've let me get past level 10 and actually get to experience playing your game to the finish and seeing what the last level is all about.

You said you're also looking for praise and admoration so I wanted to give those too haha:

1. I liked the surprising twists when they came! This game messes with the player's mind and predicts their movements to counter them, which I love.

2. I was initially confused that win/lose were opposite, but once I got it, I got into the groove. I liked the dialog that explains it "You won which means you lose". I love funny things like that. Great humor.

3. I liked the colorful particle effects when I touched the flag.

Thanks for sharing your game! I've also just submitted my game. If you're into strategy games, I'm looking for feedback on Last Fuse!

thanks for the feedback :)

i've done what i can to improve the ground check (increased the size of the check), I think it feels a lot better now but still not perfect. i've also increased the size of the level title text as suggested.

no plans to add a skip level function at the moment, but i did just finish the level select function so if you get stuck you can esc back to the menu and select the next level that way. Hope you get to check out the rest of the levels, the last few are my favourites by far.

also checked out your game, its awesome, really impressive for a one week project! my only note would be a way to rotate the camera, it just feels a little weird not being able to. I only had time for a quick run but i'll definitely be playing it again!

Cool! Also big thanks for playing and for the feedback, I've replied to your other comment too! :) Thanks for the kind words.
