Very atmospheric, very unique, but not great.
As a huge fan of "Bunker 73" and a true supporter of your work, I was curious about this and went in with some expectations, even thou I realize this was made for a game jam. The visuals and atmosphere - solid. I loved the environment, the sound design and overall movement. Sadly, I was not a fan of direction nor the mechanic showcased in the game.
From the beginning, it took me a while to find the book. I would suggest, for the future games to have some sort of path or direction, so the player won't wonder off. In addition to that, the main mechanic of the game was confusing. Yes, unique, but very confusing and mildly underwhelming. Some words were mixed and it just really took me off the game, instantly.
Overall, the game offered a decent experience.
I wish all the best with the future game and updates. Good luck!
Hey! Wow, thanks for the in-depth feedback (and video!) This game was really thrown together so I had little time to consider things like level design sadly.
The next patch is reducing the area size, adding pathing and making the font more readable, so it should be much easier to comlete. Some fundamental things I can't address, but hey that's game jammin! Thanks again Niven!
