Things don't need to conclude EVERYONE under the sun, just because you want them to. Plenty of things aren't targeted at me (a woman), and I don't go to developers and demand they change them. I don't know how old you are, but for many years VNs for woman were nearly non-existent, then that started to change... and now, in the last 7 or so years, that's changed AGAIN, and women are being told "no, you need to include EVERYONE, or you're a terrible person if you don't!" Absolutely ridiculous.

FYI, BL (yoai, in other words) was NOT made specifically for "queer men"; women were the target demographic originally (made by women, bruh), just like yuri (made by men, honey) targeted men. Doesn't mean you can't consume BL content, but men weren't the target audience. Bara, however, is a genre that is specifically for gay/bi men, with the love interests being men.

And since you brought it up to the other poster... why are you (a man) insisting that an OTOME (female protag, male love interests) be changed to suit you? You do realize what the word hypocrite means, yes?

no one was fucking demanding it but everyone has the right to be disapointed over it. and you're just incorrect, VNs were always  more female targetted. its basically like shojo. bc romance vns are obviously romance and that appealed to women most. no one called anyone a terrible person for anything stop making shit up. and if you're a women who's into Yaoi then you're just kind of a creep who fetishizes queer men bc thats 99% of the women who like it. and yuri has always been more female centered than male centered. its mostly made by women, not including lesbian c0rn bc thats a different story. a topic like this is also purely for queer people too discuss

Oh sweetie, you're really displaying your ignorance here. You're very likely under 20, so of course you know nothing about anything prior to 2000; since you're apparently incapable of looking anything up, VNs were very male dominated, for many, many years. They were nearly always eroge or hentai (again... targeted at straight men) and the very few that existed for women were few and far between, weren't hentai, (they were actual otome... GxB) and weren't translated into English.

Again, if you bothered to look anything up (absolutely no excuse, since the internet is at your finger tips), yuri was always targeted at straight men, and yoai was always targeted at straight women (I don't even read yoai, honey). It's the whole "girl-on-girl is hot" thing for men, with yoai being the equivalent for straight women. People like what they like; let's not pretend other groups don't fetishize things either, so kindly get over yourself.

Nothing stops anyone from reading whatever they want of course, but the fact is, VNs never had anything to do with "queer" people originally. Furthermore, the word(s) you're looking for is/are homosexual/bisexual, kiddo; people of those sexualities don't tend to appreciate the word "queer," given the negative connotation it carries.

One last thing... best believe I'm going to talk on a topic when someone is spewing misinformation on said topic and calling it "facts."

the word queer has never been negative and is the word used by the lgbtq+ these days what do you mean by negative connotations? and girl on girl filmed c0rn is male centered but I remember you said Yuri/girls love and those are made primarily by women even if there are some weird men who make it. even the gross Yuri like citrus or bad thinking diary. similar to things like the bl jinx but made by women regardless. and for VN's I was not counting in any c0rn related things, I mean like actual normal stuff, not hentai. I didnt say VNs were a queer people thing either I think you may have misunderstood something I said? im not sure I dont check itch io often so I dint remember my specific comments.
