It took some doing, but once I figured the game out, I actually had a good time with this! I really liked the dynamic animation you did of the player character's cane! The ability to add custom colors to the player character was also a fun touch too! The game looked really nice, though the aesthetics did lead to depth perception being a problem during some jumps. I see you tried to address that with the main islands, but the rectangle platforms had a tendency to blur together. The melee attack felt a bit off at first due to the wind up, but I got used to it fast enough. Due to the swing speed though, it's pretty tough to parry an attack on purpose unless you really practice. Not a detriment at all, but something to think about if it wasn't intentional.  While normally I'd lament the lack of music, it actually made the world feel more atmospheric. It felt like I was traversing through and barren wasteland with only myself to rely on.
