Played and rated! (or should i say, rat-ed!), really loved this one, simple but fun gameplay, violence against rats, and great pixel art visuals, it had it all! My only feedback would be the bat kind of 'flopped' around in a weird way, and the delay between the two comic strip images when you lose was a little too long (i was starting to think the game had crashed)

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I agree about the comic strip, I wanted to try and make it feel like it was going on *slightly* too long to catch the player more off guard but think I went a bit too overboard on this lol.
In terms of the bat, it's actually a hand! I'm not sure if this would make it feel more intuitive to play as I agree if it was a bat then the pivot being in the middle would feel weird!
Just had another go and I see the hand now! I don't know why my brain processed that as a bat!
I do get what you were going for with the explosion, and I do like the mental journey of is the world going to explode? Nothings happening? Is it broken? And then just a beat longer.. like it goes from a little funny to annoying to more funny.. but like you said maybe it's just a beat too long
