It's really unfortunate you don't want it on mobile... The setup and controls are a perfect fit for touchscreen, since technically you don't really need WASD to move. It would be awesome if you reconsidered it :)

As for the polish suggestions, here's what I think should be added/modified:

  1. Death animations. Right now enemies just become stiff and change color when they die. It would be nice to add some kind of animation to it.
  2. Gems. For some reason gem images seem a bit out of place. IMO they're too big and have too much detail for such a simplistic artstyle. I think you should look into slightly modifying their look.
  3. Punch sounds. The sounds you make when you punch through something are a bit bland for such an awesome action. They should have more oomph to it, be more snappy.
  4. Cutting through enemies. That speaks for itself. Would be cool if you could kill enemies not just by dropping stuff on them, but by punching through them as well.
  5. Click spam protection. Right now, it's pretty easy to pass most levels by just spamming leftclick everywhere. You can't die as long as you don't punch into an enemy. I don't think it was intended that way, which is why I believe that you should either implement some sort of punch limit (cooldown for example) or slightly tweak some levels to make it harder to clickspam them.
  6. Player death stutter. Sometimes the game stutters when your character dies. You probably know about this already, but still thought I should mention it.

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head. The game is really good as it is, but I think these little changes will make it even better :)

Thanks, I agree with most of that! I’m still not porting it to mobile tho...

I’m working on updates for the game, and considering taking it further (perhaps steam?) This feedback will be super useful!

After your awesome feedback, I definitely owe you an explanation as to why no mobile. It’s mainly due to mobile gaming culture. People expect mobile games to be free and have weeks worth of levels and new content. I am fundamentally opposed to in-game advertisements, so if I were to make it free, I’ll just have to go hungry. The game is also too fast paced, the average level takes no more than 30 seconds to complete. To make bulk content will require hundreds to thousands of levels, and the levels in the game are too intricate for me to make that many. I could make a shorter, premium game, but I would never get any visibility on the App Store and have very few ratings, which would make it hard for others to know if the game is worth the money (hence even fewer purchases)

Hopefully that clarifies my thought process regarding mobile gaming. Anyways, with the extra processing power and graphical capabilities, I think I can offer a better pc experience. Thanks again for your feedback!

Oh wow, I really appreciate the explanation! You're totally right, and to be honest I didn't think about it from this point of view. You made me change some thoughts on this subject. Thanks a lot :)
